- LOOK AFTER YOUR HARDDRIVE!
Keep your laptop cool, room temperature if possible! Overheating computers can cause a lot of problems, from seemingly random blue screens to data loss. You might not even know that it’s the root of your issues, and before you know it you have a burnt-out motherboard on your hands.
- LOOK AFTER YOUR BATTERY!
Leaving your laptop plugged in will not cause short term damage, but if you only ever use it plugged into the mains, you’ll almost certainly find that after a year the battery’s capacity has been significantly reduced. Exercise your battery by using the laptop when not plugged into the mains, that way you will get more life from your battery from the outset.
- KEEP YOUR DEFENSES UP!
A Malware-Free laptop is a healthier laptop! We highly recommend that you regularly update your Anti-Virus programs, and frequently scan for Malware.
- KEEP IT CLEANED AND WELL-VENTILATED
External dust & grime affect the inner workings of your laptop, make sure that you keep your device on a flat surface. Leaving your laptop on a carpet or bed-sheet will cause them to overheat! If you can hear the laptop fans constantly working then it might be time to have it cleaned.
